You might contact the MGMA but it could cost you a fee for this.
ON a side note, as a biller, I personally dont care how many times I bill out an office visit because it varies per provider and per geographical area. What concerns me the most is the amount of money I stil have to collect and the denials and improper payments to appeal. In otherwords, as a biller, I concentrate on the money.
Collecting the money, to me, is how I measure myself. I dont compare myself to others, I compare myself to me. If I brought in $900,000 last month and now $1,000,000 this month, what goal willI set for myself for next month? If my AR is at $0 at 60 days, then I feel I am doing good. If my AR at 60 days is $2,000,000, then I have a goal to set for myself.
The only time I look at how many office visit were billed is when I am helping my provider do contract negotiations and then I look at the office visits for that carrier.
Last, why compare yourself with me, when my provider may have 15,000 office visits per month? You bill out 5,000 office visits. So, all that says is I bill out more than you. The important thing is how much you bring in for those 5,000 visits. How many of those visits go unpaid? The only thing you can compare yourself to is you.
